Hello houselovers all over!! Nashua was a member of a Dutch hiphopband in his early teenage years, so the stage was no stranger to him . Then about 7 years ago he discovered drum ‘n’ bass true friends. He fell in love as soon he heard the pumping beats. His obsession for electronic music was born. After 2 years he knew he was looking for something more. Those were the days he discovered the famous clubs in Ghent, Decadance, Culture Club, Suite 16, Tijuana. He took his first steps into housemusic that period. 2 years of dancing all over Belgium and Europe he started to ask himself how it was to be the dj. Moving a crowd with mixes, good tracks and lots of energy behind the decks. He felt that he had to try. He left a promising soccer carreer to become Nashua. He started playing in January 2007 in his room at home. Nashua knew what he wanted to play at once. He started to collect funky house on vinyl. Playing 3 years now he still buys as much vinyl he finds added with cd’s. He loves the happy feeling that comes from the music. Music with a great melody that drags you to the dancefloor. Progress went good, because after only playing 3 months he entered his first local dj contest and won. The start of playing lots of parties in and around Eeklo. After playing in Eeklo for about 9 months, he decided to move out. The nearest city to try his luck was Ghent. After living in Ghent for 2 years now he played at lots of concepts (Yes Wee Kend, Minibox, Disco Volanté) and clubs (Decadance, Culture Club). And he started ‘One Funky Move’, a jackin and funky houseconcept also based in Ghent with names on the line-up like Kinky Movement and Woody Long. There days he shares the decks with Lipp-E, a friend from Waregem with the same love for housemusic as himself. He also met Syntax, progressive dj from Ghent, and his second coop was a fact. Not funky but progressive house. A style he is also playing now. After only one year they became resident at Insane, Laarne and they played on several well known progressive parties like Vibes in Progress and Progressive Reaction. Also the future looks good. Bookings all over Belgium, more ‘One Funky Move’-parties to come and even a festival with 2 stages in the summer together with ‘Vibes in Progress’ from Syntax. The best is yet to come and he hopes you to see you all there on the dancefloor!!!!!
